We give You reverence because of who You are and acknowledge You as King of kings and Lord of lords. God, we repent for the sins that we committed and ask You to forgive us. Lord as we come before You on this day we ask that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. God we thank You for blessing us with the gift of worship and we pray now, as we travel with You and journey through your word, that You bless us with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. We ask that You enable us to compel others to Christ by way of our worship. It is in Jesus' name we pray
To acknowledge and usher in God's presence through prayer, song, and obedience, therefore allowing the anointing to flow so that people will have a desire to come into union with God.
The Importance of Your Worship?
Worship is defined as a burning, fiery, passionate devotion; adoration; a profound awe (Hebrews 12:28) and respectful love and commitment.
Worship is a personal experience between you and God where you show the love and undying devotion you have to Him. It has no limits; it doesn't matter whether God has performed or not performed blessings for you; or even if He has chastised you. You let Him know that you love and follow Him with all your being just because HE IS GOD. In respect you must do it in spirit (you have to be totally involved: mind [thoughts], will [you got to want it], and emotion) and truth (honestly; with integrity; truthfully not acting or performing) Understand that even in performance of worship you may affect how others start their relationship but it wont have a positive effect on your relationship with God.
We worship God by letting Him know who He
is (honoring His character), how much you love Him, how meaningful He is to you, His power and authority over you, and most important your devotion to Him.
A worshiper is to calm the spirit of the people and usher them into the presence of the Lord. We are then on one accord which allows God's spirit to reign freely. It also gives us opportunity to worship God, and God opportunity to
minister to our spirit. This is when deliverance
and healing takes place, peace and joy is
given and God's unending love is felt.
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.
"O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before
the Lord our maker."
